» Career Guide Summer School, Rhodes Island, 3-9 July 2008

 

CareerGuide Summer School ambitious to bring together career counselors from different countries, to conduct workshops concerning personal, technical and interviewing skills and publish a functional handbook for Career Guidance process.

The Summer School of Career Counselors training aims to offer an interactive seminar concerning the procedure of career counseling. Specifically, aims to:

 

  • To provide specific interview techniques
  • To identify and develop career counselors' required skills
  • To provide a practical programme, step by step, for Career Counseling
  • To offer to Career Counselors more practical guidelines for the process of career guidance

» JOBfest 2008 – Event for young professionals in Romania

(11th-12th April, 2008)

 

On the 11th and 12th of April 2008, will be held in Bucharest, Romania: JOBfest 2008, a job fair for the young. The event will take place at the National Military Circle and is addressed to young specialists. The fields of activity that one can apply for, are IT – Telecommunicaitons, Financial and Banking, Insurance, Outsurcing – Foreign languages, Human Resources – Consultancy, Public Relations (PR), Engineering – Industry.

At its third edition, the fair proposes to facilitate the interaction of the employers with over 8.000 young professionals. The event is also supported by the on-line recruitment platform, familiar to the young comminity. The main objective of this job fair is to help young professionals in making their first step in their career or in their professional development.

» The biggest career fair in Romania for young professionals

 

Catalyst Solutions organises on Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28, at Sala Palatului (Palace Hall) in Bucharest, the biggest career fair in Romania under the name of “Top Employers”. The event is addressed to young professionals with up to five years’ experience aspiring to a successful career within a top Romanian company.

 

The “Top Employers” career fair offers to the young professional the opportunity to establish direct contacts with potential employers. Eager to find a job with encouraging prospects or exploring a career reorientation towards a well-known company, the young professional with potential and experience receives from the desired employer information, counselling and support.

 

More than 75 leading companies operating in Romania in areas such as IT&C (IBM, Microsoft, Cosmote, Zapp), banking (BRD, Finansbank, ING), constructions (Impact, Lafarge), energy & oil (Enel, Petrom), pharmaceuticals (Ozone, Pfizer, Zentiva), food & drinks (Coca-Cola HBC, Danone, P&G, Pepsi) and not only will encourage the candidates to apply, according to their professional background and experience, for the more than 1,000 vacant positions.

 

The agenda of the event includes mini-interviews at the participating companies’ booths as well as company presentations.
